LibGuides and LibCal for Public Libraries

Bright blue background with title and date of program in yellow and white text. Photos show a woman scheduling something on her device and a woman helping a child with jumbo building blocks.

Event Description:

LibGuides allows libraries of all types to create guides about different topics, subject areas, courses, services, collections - you name it! - and easily share them with their communities. Patrons can conveniently access library resources all in one place, including browsing databases through the newly redesigned A-Z Database List. Looking to update or redesign your current website? LibGuides and LibGuides CMS are perfect for library websites!

LibCal is Springshare’s calendaring, space reservation, and appointments tool that integrates beautifully with both LibGuides and LibAnswers! LibCal's modules are fully interactive with each other, so creating an Event also books the Space - no need to do that separately. Flexible setup and customization options means that LibCal works for your library whether you’re managing a single building or a large multi-branch system.

This session will go over the basics of LibGuides and LibCal, including:

  • Live client examples
  • Patron experience
  • Admin interface walkthrough
  • Support & documentation

This webinar will be recorded and disseminated to all registrants, regardless of attendance. However, to receive a certificate of attendance, registrants must attend live and participate.
