Institutional and personal membership applications can be completed online. Once we receive your application, a staff member will contact you. Before submitting your application, please check our membership directory to ensure that you do not already have membership through your employer. 

 

Benefits of a WNYLRC Membership

For Library Staff

Through your WNYLRC membership, all library staff are eligible to:

  • attend professional development and networking activities sponsored by the Council and ESLN at discounted rates
  • communicate with all WNY member libraries through the listserv WNYLIB-L
  • serve on the WNYLRC Board of Trustees
  • serve on WNYLRC Standing Committees
  • apply for WNYLRC grant funding for special projects
  • reserve any of WNYLRC’s traveling exhibits for programming
  • nominate colleagues and libraries for recognition in the WNYLRC Excellent Awards Program
  • participate in pilot programs, such as the ESLN Academic Institutional Repository (ESLN AIR)
  • participate in advocacy efforts with local, state, and federal legislators with the support and guidance of WNYLRC
For Libraries
  • Grant funding to support special projects
  • Vendor discounts – RDA Toolkit, Ubiquity, Rittenhouse (hospital libraries)
  • Digitization - WNYLRC offers consultancy expertise regarding possible collection criteria for digitization grants. Digital collections may be contributed to New York Heritage and Consider the Source.
