Attending WNYLRC Trainings

Classes may be held at our training center, at off-site locations, or through online webinars. See our schedule on our Calendar or Current Trainings. Most classes are open to anyone, but WNYLRC members pay a lower price. To register for an event, you must have an active account on wnylrc.org and be logged in. If you need immediate assistance, contact Jenn Northup.

Attendance Certificates for Training

WNYLRC sponsors many training opportunities (virtual, in-person, and hybrid) throughout the year. For each WNYLRC-sponsored training you attend live, you can find certificates of attendance on your account page. If the program is sponsored by another member of the Empire State Library Network (ESLN), a certificate of attendance will not be available in your account.

Attendees are expected to adhere to the WNYLRC Code of Conduct.

CTLE Certificates

WNYLRC is an approved Continuing Teacher and Leader Education (CTLE) Sponsor, certified by the New York State Department of Education, Office of Teaching Initiatives. If you are interested in providing CTLE credit for your organization's trainings, contact Jenn Northup.

Medical Library Association Webinars

WNYLRC offers MLA CE credits from courses approved by the Medical Library Association that are available exclusively through the MedLib-Ed portal. Opportunities to attend MLA webinars are shared through the WNYLIB-L list-serv. ESLN and WNYLRC often sponsor seats. For more information, contact WNYLRC's Hospital Library Services Program Coordinator, Grace Di Virgilio.

Tech-Talk

Tech Talk is a weekly online service offering videos and articles of valuable tips, tools, and techniques for staff and administrators who want to stay current, increase productivity and creativity, support staff needs, and develop better office skills! The writers of Tech Talk also respond to individual questions! WNYLRC has a username and password available for all members to use. Log-in and upcoming training info are distributed through WNYLIB-L and the WNYLA (Support Staff) listservs.
