The New York State Broadband Challenge and Libraries

Help your patrons tell Albany that they need internet that works and is affordable for them! Act now! The comment period ends April 11th.

Event Description:

Through the Broadband Challenge Portal, the public can answer a series of questions about internet service available at a given location, upload evidence to support a potential challenge, take and submit the results of a speed test, and/or submit a free text comment about the quality of their internet service.

WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT?

Creating accurate broadband coverage maps is critical to ensure everyone in New York is covered. Past inaccurate versions have hurt communities by misallocating valuable resources, so it is important we all make sure NY gets it right this time around!

Attached is a flier you can use to help inform people of the need to submit comments by April 11, 2024.
