united against book challenges banner image with date and time

Event Description:

School Librarians are facing a rise in book challenges, with books often becoming the target of bans and criticisms due to their content. However, in an age that champions free expression and intellectual exploration, it's imperative that we address these challenges head-on. We will explore the South Orange- Maplewood school district policies and regulations related to the book challenges. Participants will also have an opportunity to ask questions and get an analysis of their school district's policies.

This workshop is sponsored by the Equity, Diversity, Inclusion, and Anti-racism Committee.
