Mental health issues affect 1 in 5 individuals, and can range from mild to severe. Stigma often prevents us from having honest discussions about mental health, and as a result many of us do not realize when someone honestly needs help nor do we know how to respond appropriately. Learn how mental health issues may be impacting your workplace and how you can respond with knowledge and compassion. Learn to recognize signs of distress and how to take appropriate actions. Finally, learn where to find helpful resources in your community.
Pamela Szalay is the Director of Community Education at the Mental Health Association in Niagara County and speaks regularly about mental health awareness in the community. She is also the founder of Imagine &, a consultancy that uses creative problem solving to help individuals and organizations reach their creative potential.
