Town Hall Event for Libraries
Date:
Saturday, September 23, 2017
10:00 am to 11:00 am
Description:

Meet Senator Tim Kennedy and Assembly Member Crystal Peoples-Stokes! Tell them why libraries are needed.

You are invited to speak, listen & learn! The Western New York Library Resources Council (WNYLRC) and the Buffalo & Erie County Public Library (B&ECPL), in partnership with the offices of Senator Tim Kennedy and Assembly Member Crystal Peoples-Stokes, is hosting a town-hall style event to encourage conversation about libraries in our communities.

This is your opportunity to describe why your college, public, or school library is needed and by whom. Providing your story will help the Senator and Assembly Member understand the need for ongoing funding to sustain and enhance your library in order to meet the needs of all who use it.

Happy Hour for Happier Librarians!

Come and join us for an evening of wine and cheese pairings and networking in a historic family-owned winery. Get to know your colleagues and peers in a relaxed, casual environment while learning how to create wine pairings that will take your hosting skills to the next level!

Cost of registration includes wine tasting and accompanying cheese pairing. Additional wine tastings and wines/wine slushies by the glass are also available for purchase during the event.

Attendees are welcome to bring guests as an additional registration, and space is limited, so please register soon -- we'd love to see you there, and get to know more WNY library employees and library supporters!
