Video Production & Content Creation
Do you own a smartphone? Of course you do! This session will teach you how to use a smartphone and computer to produce professional looking videos that promote your library's programs. You will also learn how to create original videos and photos that will keep your social media follows coming back for more.

  • Jen Preisser, Children Library at Greece Public Library, will discuss how they adapted their popular children's programs into a series of videos that promote early literacy and Greece Public Library's "1,000 Books Before Kindergarten" campaign.
  • Hannah Baumgartner and Greg Benoit from Gates Public Library will discuss how they adapted the most popular elements of their children's programs into a thirty minute segment for local access television.
  • Laura Lintz and Jen Barth from Henrietta Public Library will give a presentation on how they use their library mascot TR to keep library users engaged on social media. Special celebrity guest appearance by TR himself.

Intended audience: librarians interested in using simple technology to promote their programs (summer reading, special events, targeted population programming, and more!)

*Refreshments provided!
