Scope: The Preservation Committee was established to support preservation and conservation activities in Western New York collecting institutions (libraries, museums, galleries, archives, etc.); to provide training and continuing education opportunities; to be a regional resource for facilitating the exchange of knowledge about and encouraging adherence to preservation and conservation techniques, standards, and initiatives/changes across our field; and to encourage and advocate for representation from and collaboration with historically marginalized communities in institutions with historical collections.
