Location: Special Collections Department, Central Library
Salary: $40,745 - $52,029 (CSEA Job Group 3)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Eligibility to accept a provisional appointment:
- Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma and six months of full-time library clerical experience, combined with six months full-time experience in digitization, archives, or working with rare materials or special collections.
NOTE: Verifiable part-time experience will be pro-rated toward meeting full-time experience requirements.
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to work with library staff and the public;
- Ability to understand verbal and written instructions;
- Knowledge of office terminology;
- Knowledge of digitization and archival standards;
- Working knowledge of library filing and shelving rules;
- Physically capable of performing the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
SAMPLE WORK ACTIVITIES (illustrative only):
- Basic cataloguing and records management;
- Inventory control of Rare Book Room materials;
- Assists in the preparation of items for exhibit, facilitates setup and breakdown;
- Prepare statistical and written reports;
- Assists librarian with conservation/preservation identification and recommendation;
- Process and manage digital images;
- Assists library patrons;
- Performs additional duties as required.
