Digital Humanities: Libraries and Repositories
Digital repositories - institutional (IR) or disciplinary - can provide free and immediate access to scholarly work. What concerns do scholars have about depositing their research and scholarly work in an institutional repository? What is the proper relationship between an institutional repository and disciplinary repositories? What roles should libraries and librarians play in these efforts and intersections? What have other institutions learned that we can use? Three prominent librarians will discuss these questions and answer "your" questions.
Speakers: Marilyn S. Billings, Scholarly Communication & Special Initiatives Librarian at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst; Chad Curtis, Librarian for Literary Studies and Digital Scholarship in the Humanities at New York University; and Shawn Martin, Scholarly Communication Librarian at the University of Pennsylvania.
