Dawn and Kelly will discuss the different types of housing services available and how to use 211’s community resource website to access information on those services. They will also discuss resources available for individuals who are unhoused, including winter/cold weather protections available.

Dawn Vanderkooi, Director of 211 WNY and Kelly Dodd, Chief Operating Officer of 211 NY Inc.
Dawn Vanderkooi is a seasoned professional with over two decades of experience in the field of information and referral services. As the Director of 211 WNY, she has demonstrated a deep understanding of community member needs. Throughout her career, Dawn has been dedicated to connecting individuals with the resources and assistance they require, contributing to the enhancement of countless lives.
Kelly Dodd is the Chief Operating Officer of 211 NY Inc. and Vice President of the United Way of New York State. Kelly has been working in the field of information and referral since 2007 when she was hired as a member of the team that launched with 211 in WNY. Kelly is active in the WNY community serving on the boards of the WNY Coalition for the Homeless, New York State Alliance of Information & Referral Systems Inc., Erie County Disaster Preparedness Advisory Board, City of Buffalo Living Wage Commissioner, and volunteering as a free tax preparer.
