Scope: The Western New York Library Resources Council High School to College Committee facilitates collaboration, builds community, and cultivates learning between K-12 school libraries and academic libraries.

Charge:

  • Promote developmentally appropriate information literacy instruction and collections in line with the relevant education standards, pedagogical strategies, and best practices that promote accessible, inclusive, and intercultural learning environments
  • Develop and promote a network for communication, collaboration, inter-campus visits and instruction among students, teachers, librarians, school library media specialists, and information professionals at P-12 and higher education institutions
  • Strengthen ongoing communication and collaboration among stakeholders in the instruction of information literacy through professional training, education, workshops, and continuous dialog
